Professional Advisory Committee

We encourage our donors to work with professional advisors on the legal and financial details of their philanthropic plans. Members of the Greater Phoenix professional community, including attorneys, tax consultants, financial planners, stock brokers, trust officers, insurance professionals, and other financial professionals serve on the Professional Advisory Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation.

These distinguished men and women provide leadership, offer their technical expertise to the Foundation, increase awareness in the community about the tax and other benefits of charitable gift planning, and give selflessly of their time.

The professionals serving on our Professional Advisory Committee are an active group of leaders who are called upon to:

• Advise the Foundation and work with potential donors and their professional advisors on the legal and tax aspects of charitable gift planning;
• Assist in planning and presenting tax and legal seminars for potential donors and for the professional community;
• Contribute articles to be featured in local news publications; and
• Assist in planning round table discussions for the professional community to address various topics and issues on charitable and estate planning, new tax legislation, IRS rulings, etc.

The Jewish Community Foundation is pleased to provide members of the Professional Advisory Committee with professional education, networking opportunities and community-wide visibility.

As a service to the professional community, and with the assistance of our Professional Advisory Committee, the Foundation also provides:

• Individualized proposals for use with clients, including planned giving software calculations and projections;
• Educational seminars and round table discussions on topics of interest for the professional community;
• The Guide to Charitable Gift Planning, a charitable gift planning guide for professionals and their clients;
• Individual consultations on charitable topics with professionals and/or their clients; and
• Publicity opportunities, including writing articles for local newspapers and magazines, and participating in radio broadcasts.
