HOW TO APPLY

The following information pertains to the application process for both the Fund for Jewish Philanthropy and the Jewish Women’s Endowment Fund.

The Jewish Community Foundation currently conducts one grant cycle each year, which includes a two-step application process:

Step One – Letter of Intent

Any organization interested in applying for a grant must first submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). The LOI is an informational proposal, which allows the Foundation to determine basic eligibility and compliance with our funding priorities. Letters of Intent can be submitted electronically (scroll down for electronic submission form) or via regular mail and must arrive at the Foundation office no later than 4:00 p.m. on December 1st to be eligible for consideration during the next calendar year’s grant cycle.

Organizations may submit up to two (2) Letters of Intent per cycle. Each project must be submitted separately. Letters of Intent can be submitted electronically using the form below. Letters of Intent submitted via regular mail must be on organizational letterhead and should be sent to:

Sheryl Quen
Director of Grants and Communications
Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix
12701 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 202
Scottsdale
, Arizona 85254

If you have questions regarding the Foundation’s grantmaking, please contact Sheryl Quen at (480) 699-1717 or squen@jcfphoenix.org.

Step Two – Submission of Full Application

If the Grants Committee determines that an organization’s Letter of Intent meets the Foundation’s basic requirements, an invitation to proceed to the second step of the process – submission of a formal grant proposal – may be extended to the organization. Because the demand for Foundation support often exceeds our available grant dollars, an invitation to submit a full grant application does not guarantee that funding will be awarded.

For more detailed information regarding the Foundation’s competitive grantmaking program, please review our Information for Prospective Applicants..
