Stu Turgel is President of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix, the central resource for long-term Jewish philanthropy in the Greater Phoenix area. He was named to lead the regional philanthropic organization in August 2006.

| A native of Boston, Stu served as News Director for the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service in the South Pacific where he provided world-wide news coverage from the site of the splashdown and recovery of the Apollo 11 capsule carrying the first astronauts to walk on the moon. Stu is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations. He was a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, the world’s largest televised fund raising event. He has served on the boards of directors of numerous Jewish communal and secular civic and charitable organizations. He has been an active contributor to the development of national health policy for children while associated with the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions. Stu is an appointee to the Northeast Maricopa Council of First Things First, the Arizona Early Childhood Development and Health Board. Stu has provided fundraising consultation to numerous non-profit organizations and has been a frequent speaker on issues of philanthropy, strategic positioning and child advocacy in the non-profit sector. He has received more than 25 distinguished awards for achievements in public affairs marketing, marketing communications and fundraising. He also produced a dozen record albums, which have raised millions of dollars to benefit pediatric hospitals in North America. |

Donna J. Corcoran Director of Finance and Operations Donna brings her more than 24 years of financial management experience in both the nonprofit and private sectors. She is responsible for all aspects of the financial, human resource and data base management operations at the Jewish Community Foundation. Among her specific duties will be grant disbursement, accounts receivable and payable, payroll and benefits, information technology, regulatory compliance, budgeting and financial reporting. Donna served as the Chief Financial Officer for several Chicago-area nonprofit organizations including Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, Girl Scouts – Illinois Crossroads Council, and Misericordia Home. She also provided financial management services to Catholic Charities of Chicago and the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. Donna headed her own Chicago-based full service consulting firm where she provided business planning and strategic planning services and financial and business analysis. After moving to Phoenix in 2004 Donna served as the Director of Finance for Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona and later Director of the Gainey Ranch Community Association where she directed financial operations for 20 homeowner and commercial property associations. A Cum Laude graduate of St. Mary’s University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Psychology, Donna earned an MBA in Finance from Northern Illinois University Graduate School of Business. She also holds CPA certification in Illinois and Arizona.

Roberta Scharf is the Foundation’s Director of Development. She assists donors throughout the Jewish community in establishing endowment funds at the JCF that will benefit local, regional, national and international agencies. She also works with donors who are interested in creating donor-advised funds at the JCF that can provide philanthropic support to charitable organizations to which they have a strong commitment. In addition, Roberta works with local Jewish communal organizations and synagogues to further develop their permanent endowments at the JCF, and she serves as the JCF liaison to tax and legal professionals in the region who provide charitable gift-planning and estate-planning advice and counsel to their clients.

| Beginning in 1999, she served as the ACS' Director of Planned Giving, serving Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada. Earlier in her career she was an educator in both public schools and Jewish religious schools in New Jersey, Texas, Ohio, Minnesota and Illinois. She is a member of the National Committee on Planned Giving, a member and past board member of the Planned Giving Roundtable of Arizona, a lifetime member of Hadassah and a board member of the Kivel Auxiliary. Roberta has worked as a mentor to development professionals and their boards. Currently Roberta is serving as a mentor to Beattitudes Center DOAR as part of the Arizona Endowment Building Initiative. Although she has assisted individuals to create many gifts to charity, the most incredible gifts she has acquired are her family. |

Sheryl has worked in the nonprofit field for 15 years, including both grant making and corporate and foundation fundraising. | Andrea Cohen has been the director of the B'nai Tzedek Youth Philanthropy Program since it's inception in 2005. She has an extensive background in working with and programming for Jewish youth. Andrea worked as the Youth, Camp and BBYO Director at the Tucson Jewish Community Center and was the Director of Camp Charles Pearlstein. She has also served as a facilitator for the Hadassah Leadership Academy and most recently presented at the Jewish Teen Funders Network Conference on "How to Develop a Successful Youth Foundation". Andrea holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communication from the University of Arizona and a Master of Social Work Degree from Yeshiva University, Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She is married to Greg Cohen and they have two boys: Max and Jake. In her spare time, she is a volunteer with the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center and the Cheyenne Traditional School. She enjoys baseball, bike riding, and tennis. |

Bonnie Wright is the director of the Jewish Technical Assistance Center (JTAC), which is a new offering of the Foundation. Bonnie has been active in the nonprofit sector since 1970. She retired as the CEO of the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross after serving in multiple roles across the country. Since her retirement she has worked with a variety of agencies providing capacity building services including directing the SLHI TAP program, fundraising, coaching and even serving as the Interim CEO of SARRC. Bonnie is one of the Founding Members of ONE, the Organization for Executive Directors, and was instrumental in supporting the initiation of their mentoring program. She has also been directly engaged in the initiation of the Health in a New Key Consultants Community and the Coalition for Capacity Builders. Bonnie graduated from the University of Arizona and holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. |

Ernie Muntner The friendly voice you may hear when you call our office belongs to Ernie Muntner, who joined the Foundation staff as administrative assistant. Her voice may be familiar to many, as she spent the last 16 years working for the Israel Office and other departments at the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix. She brings her administrative and organizational skills to the Foundation, in addition to her extensive knowledge of the Jewish community. Ernie is married and has two children and one grandchild. |
